Herbs of Gold Vitamin B3 500mg is a high-strength vitamin B3 supplement providing 500mg of nicotinamide. Vitamin B3 is a water-soluble B complex vitamin important for energy
production within cells, cell-signalling and DNA synthesis and repair.

Vitamin B3 is rapidly absorbed in the small intestine and found in high concentrations in the liver, muscles, kidneys and heart. Vitamin B3 can be formed in the body from the amino acid tryptophan, however, it takes approximately 60mg of tryptophan to form 1mg of niacin, with an approximate conversion rate of 60:1. This conversion requires adequate iron, riboflavin and vitamin B6.
