DRUG INTERACTIONS:

Caution with blood pressure medication – L-Theanine may have an additive effect. Monitor blood pressure.

Caution with chemotherapeutic agents doxorubicin, idarubicin,pirarubicin, cisplatin, and irinotecan L Theanine can increase the effect of these agents in tumour cells. Use under the care of a health professional.

CAUTIONS: Not recommended in pregnancy and breastfeeding due to a lack of safety data.

SIDE EFFECTS: L-Theanine side effects are relatively uncommon and tend to be mild. Some of the reported side effects include headaches, dizziness, nausea, irritability and diarrhoea and tend to occur at higher doses.
